BRIDGECOMBE FIRST INTAKE

A PREMIUM BRITISH EDUCATION BUILT AROUND ONE LEARNER

A school can be excellent and still not be the right fit for your child.

By design, even excellent schools must organise learning around groups, shared timetables and a common pace. That places a limit on how precisely teaching can respond to one child’s understanding, language needs, strengths and ambitions.

Bridgecombe House begins with the individual learner.

Bridgecombe takes the academic lead and day-to-day responsibility for designing, coordinating and managing one complete Personal Academic Pathway around your child. Working closely with your family, we implement and continually adapt the teaching, pace, challenge, language support and next steps whenever the evidence shows that change is needed.

Bridgecombe’s purpose-built multilingual AI subject coaches give your child access to exceptional individual teaching throughout the learning day. Highly experienced expert educators provide the relationship, judgement and academic direction required to turn this immediate responsiveness into a coherent and ambitious British education.

The first intake is limited to eight learners, creating an exceptionally small, founder-led model in which every child can be known closely, guided daily and prepared purposefully for qualifications, university and future opportunity.

A TRULY PERSONAL EDUCATION IS DESIGNED AROUND YOUR CHILD IN EVERY DETAIL.

It is not an extra lesson or an occasional adjustment. It is the personal care, academic leadership and ongoing support that determine how your child’s education is planned, taught, guided and managed. Bridgecombe begins by understanding your child: their current level, language profile, strengths, confidence, commitments and future ambitions.

We then design, implement and lead one coherent Personal Academic Pathway. Subjects, pace, language support, qualifications and future goals are planned together around the learner rather than inherited from a fixed class programme.

Every learner or family receives a focused 30-minute individual guidance session on each planned learning day. Learners also join a calm, purposeful 45-minute community session that develops discussion, confidence, peer encouragement and belonging.

Each educator typically supports only four to six learners, allowing every child to be known closely and guided with precision. Bridgecombe creates, provides and manages the digital environment and learning access required by the pathway.

YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATION SHOULD NOT STAY FIXED WHILE THEY CONTINUE TO GROW

At Bridgecombe, every learning activity helps build a clear picture of progress and shows what should change next.

  1. 1Learning activity
  2. 2Immediate feedback
  3. 3Daily guidance
  4. 4Parent pulse
  5. 5Weekly summary
  6. 6Planned diagnostic
  7. 7Detailed report
  8. 8Adjusted pathway

Bridgecombe connects these elements into one continuous dynamic cycle of teaching, evidence and academic decision-making. AI makes it possible for learning to respond more immediately than the delayed feedback cycle of a traditional classroom.

Bridgecombe turns that possibility into a carefully managed daily system. Its purpose-built AI subject coaches identify misunderstanding as it happens, change the explanation, adjust the language or level of support, provide targeted practice and check immediately whether understanding has improved.

During daily individual guidance, a highly experienced educator reviews the evidence as it develops, distinguishes an isolated error from a wider pattern and takes responsibility for deciding what should happen next.

Evidence from learning activities, quizzes, diagnostics and unit tests is available as it is generated. Bridgecombe uses it to determine the learner’s next explanation, task and level of challenge and, where necessary, to adjust the weekly plan and wider Personal Academic Pathway.

Parents receive a concise daily pulse and clear weekly summary. Your family remains closely informed and involved, while Bridgecombe continues to lead the teaching, academic planning, assessment and management of the pathway. You are not expected to become the teacher, marker, platform manager or curriculum designer.

YOUR CHILD’S AMBITION SHOULD BE GUIDED BY EDUCATORS WHO KNOW HOW TO TURN POTENTIAL INTO OUTCOMES

Bridgecombe House is built and led directly by Martin and Jhuriza Lungley, international educators with more than 40 years of combined experience. They work closely with each family, design and lead every Personal Academic Pathway and remain personally involved in the academic decisions shaping each child’s education.

47% → 87%

In a recent IMPACT Maths unit, a Bridgecombe learner progressed from 47% to 87% in just over two weeks. The improvement mattered, but so did the evidence behind it. The report showed what had become securely understood, why particular errors were occurring and precisely how the teaching and pathway should respond.

Former Art and Design students taught by Martin have received six Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards, including two Highest Mark in the World awards at GCSE level.

Bridgecombe connects present learning to British qualifications, private-candidate planning, university preparation and future choice. Ambition is not left as an aspiration. Bridgecombe takes responsibility for translating it into a coherent, carefully directed academic route forward.

THE FIRST STEP SHOULD GIVE YOUR FAMILY CLARITY

Tell us briefly about your child, their present education and what you hope their education could make possible.

The Family Pathway Review creates a personalised Initial Family Pathway Summary. It identifies the two or three areas that may deserve closest attention, explains what your answers may suggest and shows what a more responsive and carefully managed pathway could do differently.

The Summary is designed to give your family useful initial clarity before making any deeper commitment. It is not an academic test, diagnosis, automated suitability score or admissions decision.

With your permission, Martin or Jhuriza will review your answers personally. Where a conversation would help, Bridgecombe will contact you with an invitation to discuss your child’s present needs, future ambitions and what an appropriate Personal Academic Pathway could involve.

Your Review information will carry forward into that conversation, so you will not be asked to complete another overlapping enquiry form. From the beginning, Bridgecombe works closely with your family while taking the academic lead in designing, implementing and managing the proposed pathway.
